All students (and parents/guardians of children under 18) must register online and sign a waiver in order to participate.
Spaces are not reserved until payment has been made. Payment may be made online at the time of registration. For alternative payment types or payment issues, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, visit us in person, or call 425-256-2246 to process your payment.
For Studio Rentals, Private, and Semi Private lessons, your payment is due at the time of booking. Cancellations or schedule changes must be made at least 24 hours before your appointed time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment or a no-show to your appointment will result in forfeiting your rental/lesson and you will not be refunded.
For Group Lessons, complete payment must be made at the time of booking. Cancellations or schedule changes must be made at least 24 hours before your appointed time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment or a no-show to your appointment will result in forfeiting your lesson and you will not be refunded.
We do not offer refunds once payment has been made. In some instances, we may be able to apply payment to another service. Please contact email@example.com for any questions.
We have a 12 hour cancellation policy for classes.
As long as you cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled class or wait list, you will not lose that class. Cancelling within the 12 hours will result in loss of a class from your package or a $10 cancellation fee for those with Unlimited packages. Absence from a class will be treated as a late cancel and will also result in loss of a class from your package, or the $10 fee for Unlimited packages.
Should we need to cancel your class, we will do so at least 12 hours in advance in order to minimize inconvenience. You will receive an automated email at the time of cancellation. To ensure you have the latest information, please make sure you check your email or our class schedule within that 12 hour window. If we cancel your class, that class will be returned to your package and you can use it to register for another class.
We do have a class minimum of 2 students required for the class to be held. If there are no enrollments the day a class is to be held, the class may be cancelled within the 12 hour window.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for Studio Rentals and Private Lessons.
A 24-hour cancellation policy applies when booking a private space rental or private lessons (including groups). Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment or a no-show to your appointment will result in forfeiting your rental/lesson and you will not be refunded.
Please arrive with plenty of time to check-in, change, and put away your belongings before your classes. Warm-up is an integral part of class and is necessary for the safety of our students. Students that arrive more than 10 minutes late will not be allowed to participate, though they are welcome to stay and observe the rest of class.
Although rare, we do reserve the right to cancel classes and/or close the studio in the case of:
Extreme weather/storms or other emergencies that would render our facilities unusable/unsafe
Sudden illness or injury to our instructor where no substitute is readily available.
In the event of a late cancellation from the studio, your class credit will be returned to your class package and you can register for another class as soon as we re-open.
What to wear/bring
For your first pole class, we recommend stretchy clothing that you feel comfortable moving around in.
For more intermediate and advanced pole classes, please wear shorts that allow your thighs to grip the pole.
For Lyra/Fabric classes, please wear form fitting and stretchy clothes that cover arms, legs, belly, and armpits.
Please do not wear tights with feet, jewelry, or clothing with zippers, buttons, or metal that could catch on fabric or scratch our poles.
Please bring a water bottle to re-hydrate. We have a drinking fountain in our shared hallway for refills.
In order to ensure the privacy and comfort of our students, all of our classes at Ascendance are closed to observation.
We allow minors 16+ with parent or guardian permission. Your guardian will need to come in person to sign an additional waiver form. For anyone 16 and under, we’re happy to setup private lessons for you to learn your apparatus of choice. We will occasionally run youth focused classes or workshops - sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date with those announcements.
Filming and photography
Filming during class for personal use (e.g. at-home practice) is permitted with instructor permission. Filming and photography for public use (e.g. sharing on social media) is allowed with explicit consent of both the instructor and your classmates. We love seeing you share your progress and experience with the world, but ask you to please be considerate and respect the privacy of other students.
Studios Rentals are for our students who want personal practice space outside of a class setting.
You are always welcome to use the space for competition training or rehearsal for other pieces
Teaching private lessons is not permitted.
Any projects where you might personally benefit commercially or monetarily are not permitted during a studio rental (e.g. filming videos for tutorials, commercialized Youtube/Vimeo, hosting photoshoots etc).
If you plan to use the studio for any purpose other than your personal practice, please check with management to make any exceptions/arrangements.
At Ascendance, our goal is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment where our students feel able to participate and express themselves through art regardless of their gender, race, color, religion, physical handicap, mental diagnosis, national or ethnic origin, social status, age, size, sexual orientation, or gender identification.
Our instructors and management reserve the right to dismiss any person we feel is a threat to themselves or to the safety of others at any time.
